MoyoMap walkthrough: work a map and browse public maps
The same 15 steps as the interactive tour, with the claim map, claim panel, keyboard shortcuts, sharing, and the /maps catalog written out under each step.
Example
Elizabeth Holmes, Theranos, and the claims that built and then broke the blood-testing story.
Click a box to read it and center the map on it. The chevron opens its branch. The line is how ideas connect.

1. Welcome to MoyoMap
MoyoMap turns AI answers into a map of claims you can check, label, and share. This tour shows you the main features in about a minute.
You will move from the home page, to the public maps catalog, then into one map. Skip ahead with the list above if you already know a part of the product.
2. Start a map
Type what you want researched and press Create my map. MoyoMap prompts one or more AI models on your research topic and breaks the response into bit-sized claims.
- On the home page, type a topic in the start box and press Create my map.
- If you already have maps, open Your maps and choose Start a new map in the sidebar. The prompt there is What should we research today?
- Pick the AI models to ask. Under Advanced you can choose a Map type (Personal, Oppo, Red teaming, Corporate, Free form), edit the prompt, and turn off automatic claim categories if you want to review every claim yourself.
- Press Create my map or Start map. The scan runs first. When the tree is ready, review it, then publish the map or keep it private. Publishing is free. Keeping the map private charges the scan.
The header shows how many credits you have left and how many public maps you can still publish this month. Already have a document? Use Document import instead.
3. See what others mapped
Public maps from the community appear here. Open any of them to read the claims and sources.
The home page lists recent public maps under the start form. Open any title to read its claims and sources. The featured map on this page is one of them.
4. The full catalog
Topics live under Families in the header. Press Next to open them.
Families is the header link. Each row is a topic. You can browse without an account. Sign in when you want to vote, comment, or make your own copy. Individual maps are under More.
5. Search topics
Search by topic, map title, owner, or AI model name.
- Use the search box at the top of /families.
- Type a title, topic, owner, or AI model name. Results update as you type.
- Press Clear to reset the search and show the full catalog again.
6. Sort
Votes is the default. You can also sort by most recently updated, number of maps, or topic name.
The sort control sits next to search. Votes is the default. The orders are:
- Votes — highest combined map score first.
- Updated — most recently changed topics first.
- Maps — topics with the most maps first.
- Topic — alphabetical by subject.
7. Filter
Narrow the catalog by map type or by the AI providers that contributed claims.
- Choose a map type chip: Personal, Oppo, Red teaming, Corporate, or Free form.
- Choose an AI provider logo to keep only maps that model contributed to.
- On a phone, tap the filter icon. The same type and provider options open in a sheet.
Expand a family to list its maps. Forks sit under the map they were copied from. The flat map list is at /maps, linked under More.
8. Open a topic
The title opens the topic. The chevron lists the maps inside. Press Next and we will open one map for you.
- Tap the title to open the topic.
- Tap the chevron to list the maps in that topic.
- The tour opens the featured Theranos map. Any other public map works the same way.
9. The claim map
The topic sits at the top. Each box is one claim, and each line shows which claim it supports. Drag to pan. Click a box to read it and center the map on that claim. The chevron on a box, or a double-click, expands or collapses its branch. Double-click empty space to zoom in on the nearest claims.
- Pan by dragging the background. On a map page, zoom with the scroll wheel or the zoom buttons. The landing preview uses the zoom buttons so the page can still scroll.
- Click a box to select it, open its details, and center the map on that claim with a comfortable zoom. Use the chevron on a box, or double-click the box, to expand or collapse its branch.
- Long maps are split into Chapters. Use the chapter rail on the side to jump between them.
- On a phone, the bottom tabs switch between Map, Claims, Discussion, and My maps.
10. Map controls
Zoom in, zoom out, and Fit map, which frames every box currently drawn. Go full screen, or filter claims by category, AI, or significance. Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K to jump to any claim by number or text.
- Zoom in and Zoom out change the scale. Fit map frames every box currently drawn.
- Expand all branches opens every claim. Full screen hides the rest of the site.
- Filter claims narrows the map by category, contributing AI, prompt, or significance (High, Medium, Low).
- On large screens, the map overview in the corner shows the whole map. Click any spot on it to jump there. Print map gives a print-friendly layout.
- Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K and type a claim number or a few words to jump to it.
11. Claims as a list
Prefer reading to panning? Every claim is also listed as text. Select one to see its sources, labels, and discussion. Use the ← and → keys to step through claims that need review.
The list sits next to the map, with a running “reviewed of total” count, search (try a claim number like
C0012), and sorting by most important, newest, or claim number.
Selecting a claim opens its panel. From top to bottom:
- The claim and its path back to the root, its significance, and who labeled it (a person or AI auto-label). Prompt that produced this claim shows exactly what the model was asked.
- Categories. Mark the claim Investigate with AI, Confirm real world, Known correct, Known incorrect, or Not relevant. Choose the same category again to remove it.
- Sources. Attached documents and numbered citations [1], [2]. If the model found nothing, the panel says so.
- Discussion. A comment thread for that claim. Sign in to reply.
The toolbar at the top of the panel lets you add a claim under this one, bookmark it, edit it, add a citation, start a discussion, or Make my own copy - Fork into a new private map that you own. The arrows step to the previous or next claim that still needs review.
On a map you do not own, choosing a category sends a vote to the map owners instead of changing the label. Vote counts show next to each category.
Shortcuts work whenever you are not typing in a text field.
| ⌘K or Ctrl+K or / | Jump to a claim by number, text, or title |
| ← or → | Previous / next claim that needs review |
| ↑ or ↓ | Move to the parent / child generation |
| 1 or i | Investigate with AI |
| 2 or u | Confirm real world |
| 3 or k | Known correct |
| 4 or x | Known incorrect |
| 5 or n | Not relevant |
| Esc | Close the claim panel |
12. Vote and discuss
Upvote maps you find useful and join the discussion. Signing in lets you vote and comment.
- Upvote or Downvote the whole map from the bar above it.
- Open Discussion for comments about the map, not one claim.
- Sign in before you vote or reply. Guests can still read the map and the thread.
13. Build onto the map
Open Add to map to grow any public map with AI. Select a claim and choose Ask AI about this Claim to dig deeper, or generate more depth, breadth, evidence, or recent claims. New claims appear as a dotted overlay. Open one to edit its text or add citations, then use Merge selected claims to send a merge request to the map owners.
- Open Add to map. If the panel is collapsed, the first click expands it.
- Select a claim and choose Ask AI about this Claim, or generate more depth, breadth, evidence, or recent claims.
- New claims appear as a dotted overlay labeled Proposed.
- Open a proposed claim to edit its text or add citations.
- Press Merge selected claims to send a merge request to the map owners.
On a map you own, the sidebar has the same three ways to grow it:
- Investigate specific claims. Click claims to include them, then press Investigate selected. Each selected claim is one scan action.
- Generate more claims. Ask for More depth, More breadth, More evidence, More connections, or More recent.
- Add a claim. Select a claim on the map, then press Add under the selected claim. You can write a title, a short description, the full claim, and citations, and attach a document of up to 4 MB.
To move a claim, open it and choose Change parent, then click the new parent on the map or type
@(C0012).
14. Make it yours
Have a disagreement, or want a different focus? Make a copy forks the map into a private map you own. Take it your own way with your own claims, labels, and AI research, then publish it as an alternative. Your fork stays linked to the original, so readers can compare the two.
- Press Make a copy on the public map.
- MoyoMap forks it into a private map you own and opens it in your workspace.
- Add claims, labels, and AI research with the steps above.
- Publish the fork as an alternative. It stays linked to the original so readers can compare the two.
Once the copy is yours, the map settings cover sharing, history, and compare:
- Visibility. A map is Private, Only people with the link, or Public. Press Publish map to list it on /maps. More on choosing: public vs private vs team.
- Inviting people. Under Settings, enter an email address, choose View only or Owner, and press Invite.
- Share copies a link to the live map. Download map JSON exports it.
- History. Click the revision number under the map title to see every edit, who made it, and what changed. Owners can undo a change set.
- Lineage and Compare. Lineage shows the network of copies made from a map. Pick two and press Compare selected to see shared claims, contradictions, and what only one map says. A public compare is free. A private compare spends credits unless the results are made public.
